Unprotected cell in a protected sheet

Hi,
I have integrated a search bar into my Stream Machine and would like to be able to use it even if the sheet is protected. Is that possible? And if so, how does it work?

Hi Tino,

If I understand you correctly you have proteced your sheet in the sheet settings, but still want access to one particular cell, is that right?

To do so click on the cell, then on (the icon for format changes).
Navigate to the protection tab, and unselect protected.

Now your cell is unprotected in a protected sheet environment.
