Started my HA journey about 1 year ago. Life got in the way. Now trying to reinitialize the effort. As I recall, had HA running well and was getting pretty familiar. However, I now seem incapable of negotiating the simplest of tasks in HA. Scary how quickly a brain can gather ‘rust’.
Hardware: Dell Wyse 5070; 32GB (2X16GB, 2400MHz) RAM; 1TB SSD; .
Software: Ubuntu (24.04), Docker (27.5.1), Portainer (2.27.0), Home Assistant Core (2025.2.5), Mosquitto (MQTT), Zigbee2MQTT (2.4.0). SSH Enabled.
On bootup, I was unable to access HA through the original IP. Finally able to connect using a secondary network. I can see my HA desktop, but most items seem to be disconnected (I assume as they were initiated using the original network connection). Portainer displays nothing. I’m seeking some very basic guidance to help me get back on track.
Perhaps the initial question is how to get my instance of HA back onto my original network IP.
Continuing the discussion from Lost. Attempting to Restart my HA Journey:
Apologies. Devices not showing, and I panicked. Not sure why my system didn’t connect directly to the proper network on bootup. I directly connected to my router and ‘forced’ the proper connection. All good once again. I’ll still need to review to get back up to speed with HA. And, will likely have questions as I move forward. Thanks (in advance).
