Support for OpenSSL v3.0 and later

I am a new user to mosquitto and I’ve had no problems getting it up and running. My question has to do with the dependence it currently has with using OpenSSL v1.1 binaries. These binaries are set to go end of life in less than a year in favor of OpenSSL v3.0. Does anyone know when the pre-built binaries are going to transition to OpenSSL v3.0?

Is anyone out there using mosquitto with the v3.0 binaries yet?

Hi,

On Linux the version of OpenSSL used will be whatever is in the distribution, so there are definitely people using version 3.0. On Windows, the 2.1 release of Mosquitto will use OpenSSL 3.0.
