Does anyone know of a plugin implementation supporting a challenge-response-based authentication scheme for the moquitto MQTT broker? Whether it’s an academic project or an individual’s code, I’m interested to know if anyone has heard of or succesfully used this kind of plugin.

We have currently not implemented any authentication for challenge response in the broker. I am also not aware of a community project like that, which does not mean you are out of luck.
